The mission of Greer Relief is to prevent hunger and homelessness in the Greater Greer area.

Greer Relief has been assisting needy and indigent residents of Greenville & Spartanburg counties since 1936. The combination of emergency assistance and one-stop access to human service agencies has provided a network of collaborators ready and willing to serve the community. Emergency assistance is a safety net of support for those in need. Those in crisis with the threat of having nothing to eat, of losing their housing, of having their power cut off, or of needing a prescription filled are prevented from focusing on getting a job, furthering their education, or nurturing their children. They have more immediate needs that affect their ability to make the next step. Greer Relief offers services at a very local level of Upstate South Carolina to individuals and families in Greer, Taylors, Duncan, Lyman, and Wellford.
