A Better Way Services, Inc. is a nonprofit agency.

A Better Way provides shelter and services for victims of domestic violence, transitional housing, advocacy for victims of sexual assault and child molestation, a 24-hour crisis line for persons in any type of crisis, a suicide hotline in nine counties, AOK after-school programs at five Muncie Community Schools, Afternoons R.O.C.K. alcohol, tobacco and other drug prevention programs for youth ages 10 to 14 in nineteen counties, teen dating and bullying prevention programs, and a check-in call service for elderly or disabled homebound persons.

A Better Way depends on financial contributions from churches, civic groups, businesses, foundations, and individuals to bridge the gap between government grants and United Way allocations, and the total needed to provide quality services for abused women and children.

An endowment to provide predictable unrestricted income for A Better Way has been established with The Community Foundation of Muncie and Delaware County. A contribution to the A Better Way endowment will help ensure financial stability for years to come.
