The Humane Society of Northwestern Pennsylvania has worked for well-being of animals in our area for over one-hundred twenty years. We incorporate the best practices and standards of the shelter industry to continually help more animals and keep improving their care.

We operate the only open-access shelter in the region, meaning we do not turn away any animals brought to us. As a non-profit organization, we can do this only through support and contributions from people like you.

Our services include shelter, feeding, veterinary care, spaying and neutering, vaccinations, grooming, temperament testing, kennel maintenance, cruelty prevention and much more.
