The Humane Society of Southwest Missouri serves as the region's only open-admission, not-for-profit humane society.
The shelter has many wonderful dogs and cats available for adoption. Adoption hours are Monday - Saturday from 12pm to 6pm and Sundays from 12pm til 4pm. Adoptable pets can be viewed in person at the shelter located at 3161 W. Norton Rd in Springfield, or online at www.swh.org.
In an effort to end the pet overpopulation problem in Southwest Missouri, the Humane Society also offers low-cost spay and neuter services to those who could not otherwise afford the surgery. Please call 417-833-2526 ext. 216 for pricing and to set-up an appointment.

The mission of the Humane Society of Southwest Missouri is to aid in the alleviation of distress and suffering of animals by operating a shelter for animals in need of care, placing animals in suitable homes when possible, and offering educational programs that promote animal welfare.
