The USASOA core mission is to provide the essentials of life such as food, shelter, utilities, toiletries and more to our combat wounded heroes and their families who struggle from time to time. Our extended mission is to provide for the care and comfort of our ill, injured and wounded service members through our programs such as BBQ FOR OUR HEROES: a monthly outdoor BBQ's that we hold every month in the summer at Walter Reed Military Hospital. Another program, BOOTS ON THE GROUND is a grassroots neighborhood by neighborhood collection drive to gather much needed items for our wounded who are still recovering and undergoing medical procedures and treatments at our military hospitals across the nation. An overwhelming majority of our wounded are in their late 20's and early 30's - the wounds relating to their sacrifices for our freedom will last them their entire lifetime and USASOA will be be their side throughout the journey. As an ALL-VOLUNTEER nonprofit we firmly believe that our wounded are our greatest national treasures and as such we work diligently every day to ensure that they are treated as such.
