The Haven-Friends for Life is a 501(c)3 non-profit animal center located on 140 acres of farmland in Raeford, North Carolina. The Haven is currently providing No-Kill sanctuary to approximately 600 homeless pets. These pets are rescued, restored to health and then available for re-homing.
The animals, while living at The Haven, are the center point of our animal assisted therapy and pet vocational training programs (People Saving Pets Saving People).
Our cooperative agreements with animal control and humane organizations across the state have REDUCED THE EUTHANASIA RATES in some counties by as much as 50%, saving taxpayers money and SAVING the LIVES of thousands of animals. We also receive animals surrendered by their owners. 75% of our owner-surrendered animals are surrendered by military personnel stationed at Ft. Bragg.
Since our inception in 1997, The Haven-Friends for Life has performed over 30,000 rescues. To donate, please visit:

Our mission at The Haven-Friends for Life is to end the needless euthanasia of adoptable companion animals by transforming the image of the homeless pet from community drain to community asset. Our Companion Animal Center offers Animal Assisted Therapy and Pet Vocational Services through the Pets Saving People Saving Pets Program.
