ABOUT ROCKY MOUNTAIN FIELD INSTITUTE

A nonprofit organization in Colorado Springs that conserves and protects public wildlands in Southern Colorado. Check us out: http://www.rmfi.org.

We protect, repair, and restore our most treasured natural areas throughout Southern Colorado. Each year, over 2,300 volunteers engage in our dynamic, hands-on projects to repair trails and restore sensitive landscapes. Projects include reconstructing trails in Garden of the Gods; improving riparian habitat along Bear Creek; restoring sensitive wetland and alpine areas on Pikes Peak; and creating a sustainable trail infrastructure in the Willow Lake Basin, home to Kit Carson Peak and Challenger Point in the Sangre de Cristos.

We love getting our hands dirty and flexing our muscles, all out of a commitment to keep these special landscapes healthy and beautiful places to visit.
Dedicated to the conservation and stewardship of public lands in the Southern Rocky Mountain Region through volunteer-based trail and restoration projects, environmental education, and restoration research.
