Juliana’s Animal Sanctuary was the first farmed animal sanctuary established in South America in 2009 and is currently the only one existing in Colombia. We believe that all animals deserve respect and protection. Our slogan: Paramatma: Spiritual Equality for all Beings is something we learned from Saint Francis of Assisi, who taught that all animals are our brothers and sisters. With this understanding, we do not discriminate by artificial designations of what animal is a “pet” and what animal is “food.” However, our services extend well beyond the work at the sanctuary, where we advocate for farmed animals and pay for sterilization of street animals.
