Global Dialogues' mission is to cultivate healthy, more peaceful communities through multidisciplinary partnership and collective action guided by the narrative voices of the most vulnerable.
An Atlanta-based 501(c)(3), we use the unique power of people's stories to strengthen community capacity to respond to social challenges by:
• building bridges of understanding and trust across existing divides,
• empowering vulnerable voices,
• generating and amplifying new knowledge of local contexts and prioritized challenges,
• and translating these connections, voices and knowledge into programmatic and policy-level resources and actions.
Since our work began in 1997 (back then, we were a UK-registered charity), we have developed and steadily refined unique methodologies for narrative-based community engagement. We enjoy close working relationships with StoryCorps and YouTube, where Global Dialogues' films have been viewed well over 80,000,000 times: www.youtube.com/globaldialogues
