Compassion Without Borders was founded in 2001 by Christi Camblor . The focus of our organization is to alleviate the suffering of unwanted companion animals in Mexico and other low resource regions in the US through a multifaceted approach which includes international rescue efforts, extensive spay/neuter campaigns, humane euthanasia and humane education.

Our board is made up of veterinarians and professional animal advocates with decades of experience from around the country. We are staffed by nearly 100% volunteer labor – which means 100% of all donations can go directly toward our work!

Compassion Without Borders is a grassroots 501-C3 non-profit organization that provides assistance to animals of Mexico and local lower-income communities in California via access to free veterinary wellness care & spay and neuter services, humane education and outreach programs, international and local rescue efforts, and humane euthanasia programs.

Our goal is to bring these desperately needed services to the animals who need them the most, but who are the least likely to have access to them due to geographic, economic, and cultural barriers
