The Animal Rescue, Inc. Facebook Page is dedicated to discussing animal welfare issues and having some fun! We encourage everyone to work together to help innocent creatures in need and support your fellow animal lovers. In keeping with the spirit of cooperation of the Sanctuary for Life movement, we ask that you follow a few guidelines when posting comments.
It was founded in 1976 by Grace Froelich who was facing eviction due to her pets. She decided to move to a "farm" in southern PA and eventually began adopting some of the stray animals that had begun to show up. Animal Rescue is dedicated to these animals that are waiting for a home or never find a home.
Animal Rescue also promotes and runs a lost cost spay/neuter programs (only cats at this time), and operates a Crisis Intervention Program which keeps the human/animal bond intact by providing assistance to the elderly, sick, and the infirm.
Our property also consists of a memorial garden. Our Memorial Garden is a special place dedicated to the animals that never make it out of rescue and into their own home.We invite you to send a bulb or flower (e.g. hostas, shade plants) or purchase a memorial brick from our website in memory of one of your loved ones. We are trying to make a nice walkway of beauty in memory and in honor of our residents and the many animals that have passed through the gates of Animal Rescue, Inc. Your addition to our garden will add to the many colors that bloom so pretty in the Spring and the Fall. Many visitors looking for a new companion will walk through the garden and sit next to the pond while they get acquainted with their new pet.
Animals will never be homeless again.
