Dreamchaser PMU Horse Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit created to Premarin mares and foals from slaughter.
Dreamchaser believes in the 3R’s: Rescue, Rehabilitate and Re-home into qualified, loving homes whenever possible. We provide a sanctuary for those animals that have been too physically or psychologically traumatized to be adopted.
Our rescue horses participate in our program for foster and underprivileged children called Lean on Me, which provides a fun, safe and educational experience at no cost to the children or associated agencies.
Dreamchaser has a Board of Directors. Susan N. Thompson is the Founder and CEO.
We are accredited by the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries and accredited by the American Sanctuary Association.
Our volunteers are dedicated to rescuing Premarin (PMU) horses and foals that have been discarded by the drug industry and are headed for slaughter. Additionally, we rescue horses and other farm animals that have been abused and abandoned and horses being sent to slaughter for human consumption.
We work to educate the public about good horsemanship and the value these animals bring to our lives. To aid in this, our rescued animals are used in living classrooms for children, especially the at-risk and underprivileged.
